Perfect Playdough Recipe! And so easy!
3 cups flour
1/4 cup salt
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 cup water
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
however many drops of food coloring ’til you get your color you want
Just put it all in a bowl. Use a fork to mix it up. Then when it starts getting to be a doughy consistancy and real thick where you can’t stir it anymore then take it out and knead it until it feels like playdough! I used a silicon baking mat to knead it on. It cleaned up so easily. And also when you’re done and you have any left on your hand it’s just like when you were a kiddo, rub your hands together real good and it’ll just pretty much flake off of your hands.
This is the PERFECT recipe for playdough. It comes out great every time! Just remember though the colors aren’t ever really dark, they’re all more of a pastel color than a dark color. Here are some pictures of what we made tonight.
My sister spent the evening with me and my son. We all went to church then on the way home we stopped at the store to get some salt and food coloring and made several pounds of playdough. The 2 year old class at church had some playdough the other day that was all hard and crusty. I told them they should throw that away and get some more and he said they were all out of it! So my sister and I made playdough for them tonight. They should be thrilled Wednesday. And it was sooooo much fun!
