Become A Foster Parent - Become A Hero

This is a posting I found on craigslist from the Bair Foundation. If you can help you should give them a call!

Hello, I work at The Bair Foundation here in Tulsa OK. I work in Emergency Foster Care. This department provides short term homes for children who have been pulled from their homes or were born with no home to go to.

Recently we have found ourselves fighting a battle. We have lost over half of our emergency homes due to health issues, economic issues, and other unforeseen life situations. We now find ourselves with only eight beds.

We are in desperate need for new Christian families to help in our ministry to these children who have been pulled from their homes.

I write to you with a request first to join us in prayer that the Lord will touch the hearts of some strong Christian families to help us provide these children with a loving home.

If you have a loving heart and would like to provide a safe home for these children in need or would like more information - please contact The Bair Foundation 298-5059

A Dollar Store that’s all jewelry? No way!

Purses are ½ Price today.

It’s located at 71st and Garnett right next to the Target and by the Subway.

TOTALLY gets the Hazy Dazys approval.

OMG! Ladies, this is like a dream place to shop. hehehe Everything is a dollar! It’s a dollar store but it’s almost filled with jewelry. The only other things there are purses and sun glasses.

Everything but the purses and sunglasses is 1.00 per item. Most of the necklaces come with earrings too. I have a few pics of items I’ve purchased. Check them out. They’re awesome!

What is craigslist? I’ve heard of it but not sure what it is…

Ever heard of Craigslist?

If not oh man are you in for a treat.
Go check it out. Trust me.
It’s an awesome site.

craigslist.com

Then go to Oklahoma, Tulsa, and there’s an entire world of free stuff. There’s community information, personals ;) if you wanna meet that special guy yeah right, discussion forums, housing for rent/sale, for sale items (don’t go driving all over for garage sales anymore unless you’re just going for fun, you can find specific things on here at garage sale prices and sometimes get it delivered), and job information all over the city, services offered locally and different gigs for computer or music etc.

It’s totally a happenin site and as far as I know everything is free ‘cept a few things like if you list a house for sale or something I think there might be a small fee for that. But if you have a set of bunk beds you want to sell and you don’t want to have a garage sale. Put them on craigslist cheap and you’ll laugh at the minutes it takes for people to start calling and get them out of your house!

My Dad listed something for my Grandfather in Kansas City a couple weeks ago. My Dad got a call back from my Grandfather within 20 minutes and the item had been sold and the guy came and brought him I think $150.00 cash! Woohoo!!

It’s fanfreakintastic and it totally gets the Hazy Dazys Award.

The Reunion … 33 Years at Rocky Point

The Reunion was lots of fun and lots of people there. Grandymama said our families have been meeting at this pavilion for over 33 years. There’s a good turn out every year.

The winner for food this year was definitely the homemade chicken and dumplings by Shirley. Good Job Shirley! You got the Hazy Dazys Approval award! hehe

Here’s a pic of Zane and I down by the beach at the lake.

Misc. pictures…

We had water gun fights this year!
That was fun. And it felt so good ’cause it was hot!

Here are pictures of the games.

Here’s Destiny! Isn’t she growing up so fast? :)
